The UA Little Rock Communication Skills Center (CSC) is a free campus resource devoted to supporting the development of all stages of the speech creation process – we help take the panic out of public speaking! We also help with interview preparation and practice as well as other communication-related skill building.As an assistant director, I:-Facilitate client appointments and provide ethical feedback to clients-Design training materials for workshops and facilitate and assess workshops.-Complete any general tasks assigned by the Director-Mentor undergraduate interns, work-study, and volunteers on assignments, tasks, and professionalism-Ensure projects and tasks are being completed in an efficient and effective manner-Promote the CSC, the Department of Applied Communication, and the major in both formal and informal situations-Create marketing materials and schedule CSC related social media content

-Assist in managing social media accounts, designing graphics to post on Canva-Manage and distribute weekly newsletter, keeping up with the events occurring at businesses on South Main-Develop master content calendars for clients that outline major campaign themes, holidays, seasons, hashtag holidays, industry events, and company milestones-Serve as a photographer at events, using Adobe Lightroom for photo editing-Communicate with SoMa business owners to gain information about them and how they want to be presented-Conduct active account growth/engagement efforts across social media

-Managed social media accounts-Assisted manager with the selection, color, and design of merchandise based on current trends-Assisted in designing and implementing new layouts and merchandise displays to assist sales and customer flow during busier seasons-Created designs for shirts, sweatshirts, posters, product tags, and display tags in Canva-Fostered open communication with customers, professors, and companies to ensure that all coursework materials are well-prepared-Oversaw store charge accounts and payment plans-Generated spreadsheets through data entry-Used proficient communication addressing customer needs and concerns
