SCS Laboratory Solutions, Inc. is a company founded by Grant Chojnacki, Brian Shumaker, and myself. This C-Corp is based around the development of a novel device that will extend the shelf-life and create safer handling, of anhydrous and explosive liquid chemicals. Prior to our C-Corp filing, we participated in the National Science Foundation's Innovation Corp program, as well as the University of Wisconsin - Madison's Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic. As of December 2022, we have officially filed a Provisional Patent through the USPTO.

Formerly Nazte Beauty, LLC. I founded this makeup brand with my friend Michael J. Baugh. We will be launching our first product on 8/8/24.

Contractor through Kelly Government Solutions; working at NIH/NCATS in the Analytical Chemistry Core (specializing in NMR Spectroscopy) within the Department of Preclinical Innovation. My overall responsibilities include a combination of NMR instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, aiding the medicinal chemists with structure elucidation needs via experimentation setup and interpretation, and innovative project work. The main projects I am responsible for are: management of the NCATS Fragment-Based Screening Program, method development and implementation of our new automation-based qNMR workflow, and analytical processing workflow development using full automation with robotics. All work performed must adhere to NIH/government-level, documentation, confidentiality, and reporting standards. For instrumentation, I am responsible for one 600MHz and four 400 MHz VNMRS instruments equipped with autosamplers, each of which uses a 5 millimeter PFG AutoX dual broadband probe outfitted with a ProTune module allowing for NMR spectra of high-band (1H, 19F) and low-band (13C, 15N, 31P) nuclei. Our 600 MHz magnet is equipped with an XR401 sample cooler attached to the probe, which enables variable temperature experiments ranging from −40°C to 105°C. The robotics instruments I work with for sample preparation and processing include a Sirius Multi-Tasker, Omni-Tasker, and Micro-Tasker.

My primary responsibilities for this position included new student recruitment, program marketing, managing student progression, training students to use technical equipment, and booking speakers for the Industry Leader Seminar Series. During my time as the MPD Program Coordinator I leveraged social media, in-person recruiting events, and lead follow ups to increase the program’s enrollment by 450%. I also created a new marketing campaign by organizing and directing video and photo shoot sessions for promotional materials.

While in these positions, my main goal was to create treatments for substance abuse disorders. My job was to synthesize, purify, and characterize a series of alkaloids for structure-activity relationships (SAR) studies. I performed organic reactions using standard benchtop synthesis, as well as microwave-aided synthesis (Biotage), and most of my purification methods were performed on an Isolera-One Flash Chromatography (Biotage) system. As my time at CUW progressed, I regularly worked on scaling up various reactions (mg to g scales) for non-human primate testing. Analytical instruments and techniques used for characterization included: 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy (Varian 500 MHz), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC; DionexUltimate 3000 UHPLC and HPLC), Raman spectroscopy (RIGAKU Progeny ResQ 1064), near infrared spectroscopy (NIR; Metrohm NIRSystems DS2500 Analyzer), infrared spectroscopy (IR; Perkin Elmer Spectrum II), and mass spectrometry (MS; AB SCIEX 4000 Q Trap LC/MS/MS). Additionally, I frequently performed custom compound synthesis and HPLC/UPLC method development by request for collaborators. Contract work of note included: synthesis of target compounds for collaborating universities using fully, partially, and/or minimally developed synthetic routes, as provided by the client; designing synthetic route options and creating a proposal with the costs associated with time, equipment use, and materials; HPLC method development for absorption and desorption studies to determine the effectiveness of Deterra Drug Deactivation System per the request of the Milwaukee County Health Department; and developing an HPLC (analytical)/UPLC (preparatory) chiral chromatography method for the separation of a racemic mixture of large quantities of a lead compound.

I was am the first traditional Ukrainian folk dance instructor at the school and provided seasonal classes for students enrolled in the program.

My responsibilities were to test for salmonella, E. coli, and listeria on large batch samples from clients. This included: operating VIDAS automated immunoassay system, which is based on the Enzyme Linked Fluorescent Assay (ELFA) principles; operating Assurance GDS Rapid Detection System, a form of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) that utilizes PickPen immunomagnetic separation (IMS); performing routine sanitization of the pathology lab; filling out all associated paperwork for testing; and preparing for safety audits. During my time in the role, I almost exclusively worked alone during overnight shifts, and was responsible for managing the timing of all experiments and testing performed so that I was able to attend to each instrument.

I instructed students of all ages in classical ballet technique.

Over the course of my senior year of studies at UWGB, I was involved in my first self-paced organic synthesis and research experiences. During the laboratory portion of Advanced Organic Chemistry, I performed a self-paced synthesis of chrysanthemum acid. By the end of the semester I successfully synthesized, analyzed, and characterized my target compound and received an A in the course. During my organic synthesis research, I was part of a group of students working toward the synthesis of obalactone; in vitro studies showed medium cytotoxicity on human nasopharyngeal carcinoma. I was responsible for developing the synthesis for a Lewis Acid needed for ring formation.

I opened/closed the art gallery, handled security system, swept floors, and prevented any mishandling of art work.

At Dental Associates, I worked as a certified Dental Assistant in the General Dentistry department.

I worked as a ballet instructor for various levels and staged pieces in several of the school's performances.
