I have learned to love the journey. My path has never gone as expected, and I could never be more thankful. I have come to appreciate attitude over the outcome. When I meant to go straight to university out of state after high school, it fell through. Then I decided on my local community college where I had the opportunity to expand my skills more so than ever. When I went to transfer, it fell through. I had to face the priorities of my life. Then I decided what I truly wanted for my future. As I faced every obstacle with a flexible attitude, each outcome followed more smoothly than expected. I know what I love, I know what I excel at, and I know what I dislike. I love to make a meaningful impact and face new challenges. In college, I dove into group work. I took part in Phi Theta Kappa. I contributed to four projects that affected more than just my school but our community. I look forward to the next ones. I excel at collaboration and public skills. I had the opportunity to present at my local college as well as at six seminars at conferences. I worked with a fantastic team at each one and am excited for the next. I dislike being put into a mold. I look for the chances that come my way which include flexibility and adaption. My journey has had detours, and I am excited to see where my next steps lead.
