Through valuing arts integration as a process that actively engages students in their learning through self-expression, identifying multiple perspectives and developing one’s own sense of self and voice, Los Feliz Charter School for the Arts (LFCSA) developed a model that represents what is needed most in education. This innovative model also included the values of social and emotional learning and project-based learning. The model has now become California Creative Learning Academy. A way of being that cultivates creativity, curiosity, empathy and connection, as a mindset mindfully relating to our shared experience in an empowered state as a creative process.As a third and fourth-grade teacher at LFCSA, I managed a classroom that fostered creativity, autonomy, and respect. Through collaboration with a team of teachers, I designed a curriculum and implemented innovative, project-based, arts-integrated learning experiences. I planned differentiated instruction for students with diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities, and implemented Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English (SDAIE) strategies for English Learners.

Sapess, California State University Northridge

SAPESS is a summer academic program for elementary school students hosted by California State University, Northridge. The program focuses on child development and growth through exciting, hands-on academic and enrichment activities. Using collaborative planning, SAPESS cultivates a safe, consistent environment for students to explore knowledge, discover talents and nurture new friendships.As the program’s first musical theater teacher, I was tasked with the exciting responsibility of creating the curriculum for the course myself. I prepared and implemented various theatrical games, team-building exercises, learning activities and song and dance routines.

Oceania Cruises is the world’s largest upper premium cruise line for travelers seeking a casually elegant travel experience. Oceania provides the highest quality cruise product by offering the finest culinary experience at sea, authentic destination experiences, and a warm and luxurious ambiance on every voyage. On board the Oceania Nautica, I entertained guests in live stage shows as a singer, dancer and interactive host. As part of the Entertainment Team, I collaborated with four other team members to organize and implement all the entertainment on board. As Social Hostess, I oversaw the development of innovative and individualized activities, designed to enhance guest experiences. I worked closely with the Cruise Director and Head of Entertainment Operations to maximize the quality of guest experience within the given resources. As Assistant Cruise Director, I utilized Excel to create daily and weekly schedules for the Entertainment Staff, delegating specific duties based on individual talents, performance, and preference.

I participated in the build of two different Disney Live shows as an opening cast performer. As an interactive host, I facilitated audience participation with the children and their families. As a member of the wig team, I styled, packed, and maintained the quality of the shows’ wigs. Occasionally, I accompanied Disney characters to children's hospitals and special needs care facilities to serve as an intermediary and encourage interaction with the characters. I also represented the company in radio and television interviews.
