Hi! I'm Savannah. I graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) November 2019 with a B.S. in Software Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. I originally wanted to major in Art or English but fatefully I was introduced to programming in high school and it became my new passion. Although I do love a good recursive function, I also have passions for chess, knitting, painting, and writing stories.My strongest skills include familiarity with various programming languages including Java, C/C++, C#/.NET, Python, and different web frameworks; and familiarity with both GIT and TFS. I have a diverse background in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and have a strong interest in data science, machine learning, and architecture design.During my formal education at MSOE I worked on two year-long major projects including a "progressive quizzing application" used to help people learn material through repeatable exposure, and an android application for an embedded network-controlled infrared universal remote for my senior project. These projects are just a fraction of the programs and design work I completed during my education, which focused heavily on learning to work with different people and teams in addition to "squashing bugs".My work experience started with an amazing internship at Johnson Controls where I learned the basics of C# and developed an SDK for customers to consume their popular Metasys API. After I graduated I worked at Advicent updating legacy C++ code and developing newer software projects using AngularJS and C#. Most recently I have been working with the Unity engine at Dematic to create warehouse emulation models.Currently I work freelance creating custom mods for a video game and help manage discord communities and public documentation for different projects. When I am not writing code I am tutoring my peers and providing user technical support.Great software starts with a great team and dedicated team players. I bring my positivity and good humor wherever I go and expect my team to do the same. (My jokes are pretty lame, but I'll laugh at yours!)
