Current• Facilitating guest interactions with animals at an AZA accredited facility, including giraffe feeding, stingray feeding and touching, lorikeet feeding and monitoring the goat yard• Educating the general public about animal biology, as well as the functions and importance of zoos in protecting and raising awareness about wildlife conservation• Performing encounters with the animal ambassador program for events and the public, educating guests about a variety of reptile, mammal, amphibian, and invertebrate ambassadors• Executing husbandry and enrichment duties for the goat yard, including cleaning, administering medications and diets, monitoring guest interactions with the goats, implementing enrichment items, and assisting in training• Leading After Dark overnight sleepovers and private Night Hike tours of the zoo after hours• Utilizing a radio to communicate with other staff members• Member of the JZG Biofact Committee and trained in preserving, storing and presenting biological objects
