About Savannah Wolfe, Ph.D.

I am a scientist and engineer with a passion for driving innovation in medicine from lab bench to patient bedside. I am currently engineering solutions in early process development of gene therapies. I have a strong background in upstream and downstream bioprocessing, cell culture, Ambr 15, Ambr 250, Design of Experiments, microscopy, UV-visible spectroscopy, tangential flow filtration, polymer synthesis, and soft lithography.My dissertation work involved bioengineering artificial blood substitutes for applications in transfusion medicine and disease therapeutics, and the development of microfluidic technology to investigate cellular and vascular response to oxygen deprivation and delivery. Passionate about science communication. Devoted to applying my expertise to address unmet needs in rare disease and maternal-fetal medicine.
