I worked with NSW at their customer portfolio tastings in London, Bristol and Manchester. I represented Painted Wolf Wines and engaged with prospective clients for the company, with the goal to increase current sales accounts and gain new accounts. I also assisted them with some admin and data management work at their head office.

In the 3rd year of my BBA degree, I worked as a Front Office manager at Stenden Hotel, a fully operational student-run hotel. My jobs included training students in 1st and 2nd year, creating schedules, admin work, and checking operations such as check-ins and check-outs, payments and front office etiquette. I also worked night shifts in which I would do the payment report of the previous day.

As part of my Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Hospitality Management, I completed 320 hours at MyPond Hotel, run by NHLStenden South Africa in my first year and 200 hours in my second year. During this time I worked in the Front Office, Restaurant & Bar, Kitchen and Housekeeping departments. This gave me experience working at the functional and supervisory level. Key Skills developed: Knowledge of these departments and how they operate, customer focus, time management, interpersonal skills.

I ran Sit Café for a month over the summer. My responsibilities included some time in the kitchen, working with the cash register and card machine, placing orders, accepting and checking deliveries, waiting tables and of course, being a hostess. This was my first time working in a management position. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was an excellent learning experience. Key skills developed: Problem-solving, staff management, time management.

I utilised my knowledge of digital media acquired through my tertiary education, and personal knowledge and research, to improve the Painted Wolf social media following and reach. I streamlined their Instagram and Facebook feed and created content for social media as well as events.
