As an engineer in the nuclear power group I worked with several plants across the United States on projects such as Open Phase Detection installation, Cyber Security enhancement, Plant Process Computer replacement, and several instrumentation and panel replacements. As Responsible Engineer my tasks have included:-Performing calculations such as AC loading on low voltage systems, cable and conduit scheduling, cable ampacity, cable sizing, load flow for AC distribution buses, voltage drop, loading DC systems, station blackout heat load, overcurrent protective device settings and coordination, instrumentation set points, and diesel generator loading.-Cyber security assessments for plant systems and identification of Critical Digital Assets-EMI/RFI evaluations-Implementing codes, standards, and procedures from NFPA, NRC, NEC, NEI, NEMA, IEEE, and ASME.I have also acted as the Office Safety Manager to communicate both OSHA and company safety standards in a way that is both relatable and interesting.
