 Provide confidential business counseling to assist prospective and existing small businessowners in accordance with the SBCN Guidelines (Helps business owners increase sales, fine-tune their marketing, aid with financials, help with data analysis, loan procurement, grant writing, and etc.) Maintain counseling records using the SBCN Client Management System in accordance withthe SBCN Guidelines. Provide seminars, workshops and entrepreneurship courses for prospective and existingsmall business owners, including all core entrepreneurship seminars, in accordance with theSBCN Guidelines. This includes finding and contracting good quality, professional workshoppresenters, scheduling, advertising, registration, setting up equipment and clean-up.Maintain seminar attendance records using the SBCN Client Management System. Network with community resources such as chamber of commerce, agricultural extensionservice, volunteer consultants from the business community, business and tradeassociations, economic development agencies, banks, accountants, lawyers, educationalconsultants and federal, state and local agencies through frequent contact andcommunication. Market and advertise Small Business Center programs and services through direct contact,e-mail, handouts, and mail outs. Create all advertising materials and marketing programs for the Small Business Center. Document attendance at seminars using approved registration forms, class rosters andattendance sheets. Request seminar evaluations from all seminar attendees. Maintainrecords as necessary to comply with MCC Continuing Education Department Guidelines andSBCN Guidelines. Submit annual goals and objectives for the upcoming fiscal year and annual outcomes forthe current fiscal year to the Dean of Continuing Education. Conduct an annual survey of SBC clients and SBC seminar attendees for the previous fiscalyear to determine the success levels achieved by SBC Clients.

-Assess recruiting needs for curriculum programs and develop the annual Curriculum Recruiting Plan for the College.-Assist Public Information Officer in developing marketing material for the College.-Create and design a weekly student tabloid.-Assist the High School Liaison with activities and events offered to local high schools, students, and parents in regard to recruiting, admissions, etc.-Participate in the Post-Secondary Opportunity Sessions (CACRAO College Day Tour) and middle and high school career days.-Coordinate and conduct special information programs, campus tours, and other related activities for target groups and prospective students.-Correspond with prospective students through various mediums.-Develop and distribute College materials throughout the service area.-Coordinate College activities for community fairs-Provide academic support to special populations.-Coordinate a well-rounded student activities program to include overseeing Student Government Association (SGA) and club activities and the Student Ambassador program and supervise the coordination of the Minority Male Mentoring program.-Serve as liaison between members of the Student Government Association and College Administration.-Coordinate the selection process, student leadership training, and annual activities for the Student Ambassador program.-Participate in Student Services activities and events (registration, graduation, open house, etc.).-Participate in professional development activities as well as civic and community events and activities as related to this position.-Represent the College in the most positive manner with prospective, former and current students, clients, suppliers and the community we serve.
