I am a solo practitioner attorney, focusing on family law, real estate, business consulting, and whatever else seems like a good idea at the time. I'm licensed in Florida and Georgia, and in Summer 2019, I will be moving to Fort Lauderdale to pursue new opportunities. The past six years in Melbourne Beach have been remarkable. I've enjoyed practicing law in a small beachside community, where I can walk or ride a bicycle to a neighbor's house to help him with estate planning documents, contracts or a property dispute. I became a notary, which allows one to officiate weddings in Florida, and so was able to perform a bilingual wedding ceremony for some good friends. Worked in a few restaurants: hostessing, managing, serving, kitchen prep. Privately catered a few parties. Even spent a day picking mangoes.Prior to moving to Florida in 2013, I lived in Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Emory University School of Law in 2008, and went on to start my own practice, Murphy's Law Atlanta, LLC. My diverse client base and caseload enabled me to gain experience litigating in over 30 counties across GA, in practice areas including: divorce and family law, real property, contracts, wills and estate planning, landlord-tenant law, entertainment, criminal defense, DUI, juvenile law and more.Before law school, I graduated from Georgia State University in 2003, with a B.A. in Film. I worked for several years in film and TV production all around Atlanta, at Cartoon Network Latin America, Wild Hare Studios, and Spin Productions. I founded a nonprofit organization to teach filmmaking skills and media empowerment to at-risk youth, the Youth Alliance for the Digital Arts and Sciences (YADAS) in 2005.
