Pioneered a project to take a tree species inventory on the property of Meadowbrook Hall. I was responsible for identifying tree species, recording their health, and assisted in the removal of dead/dying trees along with invasive tree species. I was then able to incorporate that data onto an excel spread sheet, and devised a system for that information to be read in a clear and concise manner. At the end of the project, I briefed the Meadowbrook staff on what was accomplished, and devised a management plan for future interns to continue the maintenance of the forest. A few months after the project's completion, Oakland University made the decision to apply our process to the rest of the woodland areas on campus, and teach it as a part of the Ecology curriculum.
