Worked on a team of 4 other senior-level biomedical engineering students with our mentor, Dr. Alexander Stolin, and client, Dr. Raymond Raylman, in the WVU Department of Radiology. This project focused on investigating the detection limit of a PET/CT scanner for breast cancer detection.

I was a visiting undergraduate research student at Johns Hopkins University through the Computational Sensing and Medical Robotics Research Experience for Undergraduates (CSMR REU). I worked in the Image Analysis and Communications Lab (IACL) with Dr. Jerry Prince and Lianrui Zuo studying magnetic resonance image harmonization. My project focused on evaluating the effect of MR image contrast on the state-of-the-art brain segment algorithm SLANT. This work was presented as an oral presentation titled "Evaluating the Impact of MR Image Contrast on Whole Brain Segmentation" at SPIE Medical Imaging in San Deigo in February 2022

I worked with Dr. Shuo Wang in the WVU Dept. of Neuroscience and Dept. of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering studying facial processing in individuals with autism spectrum disorder using fMRI. I worked with Dr. Wang through the WVU Research Apprenticeship Program and Summer Undergraduate Research Program. During this experience I conducted recruited participants, conducted fMRI scans, analyzed data, and presented posters at various WVU symposiums and WV Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol in 2020.
