At 17 years of age I began waiting tables at a well-known national restaurant chain. I quickly fell in love with the fast-pace environment and social interaction required to do my job effectively. Within a year, I was promoted to a bartending position where I was given more responsibility, but also the freedom to be more creative than my role as a server. It was in this position that I discovered my real passion for customer service, and because of my skillset, and the way I preformed my job, I was recruited to another establishment of higher volume to continue my role as a bartender. In jobs that followed I exercised excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as always having a “team-player” attitude. I am open-minded and enjoy working with others to achieve a common goal.In my current job, I am a “Direct Support Professional” for a mentally and physically, disable teenager. The details of my duties are included in my resume. This position has truly been one of my most rewarding accomplishments in my young career. While this role has been very challenging on many different levels, the experience has forever changed my life in a positive way. I’ve learned that I am a strong individual and there aren’t any obstacles that I can’t overcome.
