I currently work at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Data Scientist on the Data Strategic Investments project where we are utilizing data science, data analytics, data engineering, and dataops. Our goal is to have a dataops infrastructure stood up in a way that reduces human level of effort, such as ingesting, enriching and analyzing data using AWS and Cloud formation scripts to make this process automated, repeatable, and customizable. We are utilizing software/tools such as Python, Splunk, Hudi, Delta Lake, AWS, Cloud Formation, Lake Formation, Amazon Glue, Amazon Glacier, Amazon Athena, and more.

Joined a new project where my role as a Data Scientist and Python Developer is to help develop and forecast predictions for our client.

• As a team member of the BIP Platform Team, we are in charge of the organization’s cloud platform to create and optimize all the various functions needed to establish a strong cloud infrastructure. The vision of our team is accelerating the delivery of the secure quality products to the VA through the use of automated infrastructure utilizing Dev Ops capabilities. • I have been training and working with software/tools like Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Jenkins, Amazon Web Services, containerization, and more. I also spent about a month with the ProdOps team learning all about deployments, running ansible playbooks, and on-boarding/setting up projects using the Platform's documentation, software, and tools.• I finished a course through Booz Allen and General Assembly called Data Science Fundamentals 5K and received my certificate of completion. I attended class for 60 hours over 10 weeks twice a week. • In the course, we touched subjects such as data analyses, databases, statistics, programming fundamentals with Python, git, Jupyter notebook/lab, applied mathematics, and developer tools.

• I opened and closed the store by myself frequently. • My customer skills are beyond compare by learning to treat every person who walked in the store as a friend and with respect. • I worked with others on a team to process shipment, print shipment tags, and organize and put the shipment on the floor. • I used Slack multiple times a day to keep track of people count, sales, and communicating with other stores and headquarters.I am very familiar with Shopify to complete sales to customers, search and correct inventory, complete returns and keep track of our daily and weekly sales.• I helped find, hire, and interview multiple employees at Chubbies.• I learned to keep a bright and friendly personality throughout struggles with customers and how to resolve issues without involving others. • This job enhanced my approachable demeanor that would be useful in any type of workplace whether it be retail, technical, medical, etc.

• As a product management intern, valuable skills such as using Mixpanel tools, Excel tools, and learning to work as one on a team were obtained. I learned how to work with many employees of different technical positions and bring them together to create new ideas. • My data analysis skills were improved by sending out a survey to 2,005 clients to collect feedback, organize and analyze data, and present the findings to the company. • I got wonderful feedback and the company decided to use and continue the research after my internship ended.

• I developed a new course for Computer Science freshman at CofC to help them learn more about computer science and the different fields, become more involved in the department and in the community, and to give students a place to ask questions and get advice.• During the school year, I co-taught and advised students alongside another faculty member and came up with lesson plans involving computer science, data science, computing in the arts, and cybersecurity. • During Summer 2016, I further developed my public speaking skills by recruiting new students and speaking in front of and giving advice to all incoming computer science freshmen at every orientation event.
