About Sander Voerman

Sander Voerman specializes in various philosophical topics that involve human agency: ethics, responsibility, selfhood, and the ethical and conceptual aspects of health and illness. He wrote his PhD thesis (Tilburg University, 2012) on the psychological nature of normative reasons. His textbook about the free will debate (Lemniscaat, 2011, together with Tjeerd van de Laar) was used from 2012 until 2015 to prepare students in Dutch high schools for their final exam in philosophy. His current research includes the design of new concepts and practices for mental health care in the Netherlands.
