When I was a kid I used to share a blog with my friends about the 'struggles' of middle school life. While they were more invested in the content of said blog, I was OBSESSED with tweaking and changing the HTML template - simple things like making a solid background more translucent, adding a background image, or changing the color or style of the font, made me so unbelievably excited. After graduating from Boise State University in 2021 I decided to revisit my interest in software development. Since then, I haven't been able to get enough. Software development has called to all my passions, particularly my love for applying problem solving techniques to complex problems, while also allowing me freedom and flexibility to apply my own creativity in design. Outside of software development, I volunteer with a number of advocacy organizations. My favorite role is being a Big Sister mentor with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, an organization that promotes one-on-one mentoring relationships supporting the social and emotional development of children. I also enjoy lifting heavy objects in my local CrossFit gym, hiking with my dog, and adding to my personal library! All of my prior experiences inspire me daily to reinforce messages of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion in my personal and professional relationships.My specialities and experience include being a quick learner, creative problem solving, implementing responsive design principles, Model View Controller (MVC) design pattern, and RESTful API architectural style. So far I have experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Vue.js, MongoDB, and MySQL.
