Upon completion of my degree I was promoted from the shop floor into the offices at the Sainsbury’s store and became Payroll Officer. I was responsible for accurately paying approximately 400 employees on a 4 weekly basis. One of the fundamental key skills during this role was to work well with colleagues in order to meet management deadlines. These roles required me to use my initiative in order to achieve over and beyond management expectations. This role introduced me to the importance of customer service – something I now pride myself on.
