Established in 1951, DACOWITS is one of the oldest Defense Department advisory committees. The Committee submits recommendations and continuing concerns to the Secretary of Defense via a comprehensive annual report to improve the recruitment, retention, employment, integration, well-being and treatment of women in the Armed Forces.

Now in its 25th year, the Fellows Program was launched in 1994 with seed-funding from the U.S. Labor Department as a direct result of the Glass Ceiling Commission. This year, the program includes 38 Fellows from 11 countries. The Fellows receive customized leadership training for female executives on their path to the C-suite. The approach is holistic and focused on the participant’s personal and professional development, career path, and trajectory, while embracing the value of an outside perspective.

Responsible for Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training for U.S. Air Force and allied officers, producing over 400 pilots and combat systems officers annually. The wing possesses 244 aircraft, flies 71K hours annually for an $83M flying hour program. Also responsible for an operations and maintenance budget of $115M and capital assets exceeding $2.3 billon. Columbus AFB employees 2,600 military, civilian and contractors, driving a $314M economic impact to the local community.

Directed operations of seven squadrons, including three geographically separated units. The 57th Adversary Tactics Group boasts the world’s most capable and professional aggressor force to train US personnel and coalition partners during exercises and deployments, while overseeing USAF-wide Air, Air Defense, Space and Information Aggressor initiatives and threat academic programs.

Received PhD as a Lorenz Fellow (Air Force Fellow for Senior Developmental Education), completing dissertation in Military Strategy through Air University with an emphasis in Leadership development and studies.

Provides support to the Commander NORAD/USNORTHCOM to conduct aerospace warning, aerospace control, and maritime warning in the defense of North America.; as well as partner to conduct homeland defense, civil support, and security cooperation to defend and secure the United States and its interests.

The 8th OSS provides operational support to the 8th Fighter Wing mission by accomplishing six functions including Wing Weapons, Wing Scheduling, Aircrew Flight Equipment, Weather, Intelligence and Air Traffic Control, with its 124 assigned personnel.

The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, performs precision aerial maneuvers demonstrating the capabilities of Air Force high performance aircraft to people throughout the world.
