- Drone operator of small and large UAVs (5" - heavy lift machines). Responsible for flying of machines both via line-of-sight and FPV with large payloads and cameras to capture content for television, commercials and cinema films.- When not piloting, secondary role of being a spotter and safety representative to ensure all production participants are kept safe and regulations are adhered to during a production event.

Direct influence in department reward for high number and value of contributions.- Interface directly with Quality Manager, Assistant Quality Manager, Plant Manager, Assistant General Manager and General Manager to drive high level, corporate and divisional systemic improvement plans (scrap reduction, team training & specific task force activities to tackle sensitive plant and customer concerns.

-Transitioned to full time Supplier Quality Engineer for two plants encompassing multiple OEMs (GM, FCA, Honda, VW) and 180+ purchased part suppliers.- Managed supplier related rejections, containment, corrective action validation and supplier follow up.- Report out supplier scorecards, create audit plan and complete risk analysis to develop focus suppliers and initiate development plans at supplier facilities (drive to 0 PPM).- Implemented and enforced process and relevant work instructions for Supplier Quality and Development as related to IATF and customer specific requirements (ensured KPI’s are met).- Conduct supplier on-site visits, audits, run-at-rates, design reviews and tool buy off activities at sub-suppliers. Championed safe launch and GP-12 reviews for purchased components & responsible for all APQP Supplier Quality tasks.- Implemented master tracking system for PPAPs and created process for master & boundary sample sign off and storage (critical for A-Class components).- Contributed 7 Continuous Improvement suggestions amounting to ~$500,000 CAD annual savings and valuable lessons learned for future programs.- Developed robust knowledge of A-class stamping, painted components & co-extrusion including the process, failure modes and specifications (push for scrap reduction and improve division profitability).

-Transitioned into new role as Supplier Quality Engineer while maintaining position as Quality Engineer position for K2XX lower window trim & greenhouse mouldings.- Review & approve supplier PPAPs for new T1XX HD and SUV program launches.-Manage daily supplier quality concerns for T1XX LD program.-Conduct on-site supplier audits & transform results into unique development plans to improve supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives through Co-Ex-Tec’s supply base.

-Quality Engineer for GM T1XX lower window trim and GM K2XX lower window trim & greenhouse mouldings, daily quality and continuous improvement activities.-Worked closely with design, sales, manufacturing engineering, production and customer quality engineering to ensure all parts and assemblies are specified and built to proven quality standards.Analyzed scrap, failure modes and their root causes to track performance and compliance; improving manufacturing process performance (scrap, labor, downtime, productivity and overall quality).-Support continuous improvement activities & scrap reduction in both co-extrusion lines and downstream assembly work cells to improve efficiency and reduce labor.-Utilized statistical methods, such as process capability data analysis, statistical process capability and repeatability to determine valid sampling plans.

-Analyze and act upon supplier quality issues – 0 PPM objective driven.-Developed robust technical understanding of processes including stamping, cold heading, injection moulding, casting, forging, machining, plating, adhesives/gaskets, assembly and welding through on-site visits, audits & commodity strategy creation.-Chair supplier improvements through review of objective data including NCRs, PPM, cost of quality and part-specific issues.-Approve supplier readiness through on-site follow up, attendance of run-at-rate activities, tooling/fixture review to ensure first off parts are delivered to print.-Lead high-level and detailed supplier process/system audits reviewing supplier manufacturing & quality systems, design and development capabilities, operational efficiencies, delivery performance and production environment standards.-Implement and verify corrective action at suppliers to exceed Multimatic standards.-Key stakeholder in 5 phase program launch process spanning from initial supplier review to program launch and post-launch supplier management.-Created all training documentation and led supplier webinars & in-house training events to educate and improve supply base performance.-Designer and project manager for the overhaul of the Supplier Performance Scorecard. -Review drawings and request-for-quotes from program management team to formulate purchasing strategy and quote process.-Work alongside supplier development, program management and purchasing manager(s) to review quotes and formulate sourcing plan.-Create RFQs for suppliers and manage cost roll ups for program management team.-Manage tooling kick-off, PPAP submission(s) and part submission(s) against timeline.-Review cost-saving and VAVE opportunities for existing programs.-Negotiate commercial contractual agreements, buying terms, conditions and competitive pricing with local and international suppliers.

-Review and pre-approval of PPAP submissions from suppliers – sign off on Control Plan, PFMEA, Process Flow, Capability Study, Material Certifications and Dimensional Verification and other PPAP documents.-Incoming of inspection of purchased parts against control plan requirements as established by Supplier Quality Engineer(s) for current and new production.-Conducted capability studies and aggregated data from production controls for review with suppliers in case of quality concerns to conduct root cause analysis and effective corrective action implementation.Issue & manage Defective Material Notifications. Collaborate with purchasing and materials team to ensure uninterrupted flow of parts.-Created and executed design of experiments and other studies with test lab team to better root cause quality concerns both internally and externally. -Heavily involved in Tesla Model X Seat program through quote, IVER, prototype and program launch phase (APQP, Purchasing, Engineering Reviews etc).
