Focusing heavily on the creation of powerful, emotional stories, I've been creating videos since 2006, with work ranging from short narrative films to mountain biking highlight reels. I have worked as both an independent producer, as well as a freelancer for multiple clients including Nike (Football, Baseball, Golf), Damian Lillard, LSU, University of Utah, the Multnomah Athletic Club, Multnomah Athletic Foundation, Portland Running Company, National High School Sports Awards, Run With Paula Events, Raindrops Synchro, The Town Club, the Derek Rieth Foundation, and Bionic Pet Products. The list continues to expand.Sports are my passion, and primarily the main subject of my work, but my skills as a producer go far beyond sports highlight reels.In 2014, my video for the MAC Synchro Club was recently awarded first place in the "I Love Synchro"​ Video Contest for USA Synchro, tallying over 15,000 views and counting. Viewers have called it "Phenomenal"​ and praised it for how it effectively "Captures the love, dedication, and spirit of synchro." Stories are powerful, but only when you know how to tell them right. And that is something I always strive for, and almost always achieve, in my work.

I recently completed a large marketing photo project for Portland Running Company consisting of running based photos taken at recognizable locations around Portland. Images are being used for PRC's new website design and large format prints will be made for posters that will be used to decorate both store locations.I have also focused on shooting action sports and nature on more of a hobby basis since I purchased my first Canon DSLR in December of 2008.

I recently acted as cinematographer on an interview based piece with Phil Knight that focused on the impact Prefontaine had on the development of Nike as a company.

Quarter4, a sports based and storytelling focused video production house, was my home for the past two and a half years where I primarily worked as a lead editor and cinematographer, but also acted as a producer, director, and writer. As a Quarter4 employee, I was able to interact with large clients from Nike, Pac-12, and Oregon State University, as well as local clients such as Little Big Burger and Umpqua Bank. Through our work with Nike, I also had the unique pleasure of working with some of the greatest athletes in the world, including Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, Maria Sharapova and many many more.Using Final Cut Pro X, a typical project as an editor at Quarter4 entailed everything from pre-production script writing and interview transcript compilation, to final client delivery and everything in between. Quarter4 provided a unique editing experience due to its diversity of projects and the opportunities I was given to develop a relationship with clients to make sure their final product was exactly what they wanted and up to the quality standards we lived by. As a lead editor, I worked on a multitude of projects that varied from 30 second sports highlight spots to a four part dramatic TV series on Oregon State Basketball called ‘Rise and Grind’ that we produced for the Pac-12 Networks. I have no lack of knowledge when it comes to sports editing, having experience in cutting sizzle reels, intro videos, commercials, marketing pieces, interview based content, and much more. Though I was primarily an editor at Quarter4, I am also no stranger to the camera. Producing most of our content using in-house cinematographers, I always took a lead role on set whether it was working with our Canon 5Ds or our Sony FS-700 to capture slo-motion, running audio using a variety of recorders in combination with a boom or wireless mics, directing, or lighting the set.

Most of my time in the UCSB Athletics Department was spent working as a one man camera crew and editing team, while communicating with the higher ups in the department to deliver the most engaging videos for the fan experience in stadium, TV, and internet settings. I worked with athletes to create projects for Basketball, Soccer, Track, and Baseball. Working with several other students, my colleagues and I were able to create some of the most entertaining, creative, and high quality work the department had ever seen on a consistent basis. Many projects given to me were the design of the Athletic Director and his team, but many other projects were created and produced entirely on my own, providing extremely positive results and feedback from not only the fans, but also the athletes, who embraced my willingness to create content that was not considered ‘standard’ by the department. It went above and beyond and took athletes’ stories to a different level. I learned how to take a project from the very beginning and own it until final delivery. While at the athletics department I gained most of my knowledge of DSLR filmmaking and greatly increased my skill in editing using Adobe Premiere for nearly all of my projects. And though it sounds as though I was a one man team, I also worked closely with two other talented individuals who I collaborated with on pre production script writing and brainstorming, shooting, and post production editing. The content we created included, but was not limited to, TV and internet based commercials (ticket promotions, t shirt giveaways, etc), highlight recaps, short film style recaps, intro videos, and game coverage shooting.

During my senior year at UCSB, I served as one of the main photographers for the Men's Basketball team and the Men's and Women's Cross Country team. My photos were also used in the school newspaper, The Daily Nexus, and several of my shots from the Cross Country Conference Championships were used in order to create large banners for light poles lining the road adjacent to the Athletics building.

San Jose, Ca

KQED+, a PBS affiliate based in San Jose, served as my main source of work during the summer of 2011. During my internship, I worked on the set of 'This is Us' with the entire crew at the station and acted as a gaffer, light tech, and PA. 'This is Us,' a storytelling based program focused on local events and history, taught me a lot about how the world of television works and helped me better function in the most efficient way while working on set. When not on set, I also took part in writing, editing, and logging footage for various shoots or past programs in need of rebranding or archiving.

Chicago Pacific Entertainment, owned by the director of The Fugitive and Holes, Andrew Davis, was not hands on video production work, but rather more office and writing based. I was mainly involved in general office work and intern duties, but I also was able to learn the ropes for script coverage. After a couple of weeks, Mr. Davis saw that I had a knack for photography and great organizational skills, so I was tasked with the archiving of his entire photo library that ranged from on set photos to family vacation photos. This eventually turned into a paying job during the fall that I performed until the task was complete.

While working for documentary filmmaker Kevin McKiernan, I was primarily tasked with the logging of footage from one of his recent trips to Ireland. I sifted through various tapes from the trip, logging timecode and content onto a spreadsheet in order to organize everything before editing began.
