I worked with Rahul for the whole time he was at ByteRocket. He came on board two months after I started there myself and it was nice having somebody to talk to on the same kind of entry level in the company. Security audits and the way you have to think about them was something both of us didn’t have high exposure to before, so the learning curve was really steep. Me having a head start of two months on the topic didn’t matter, because Rahul caught up to me in no time (and by now passed me with flying colors). His biggest strength I see in him is definitely this one: The network he built to gather knowledge was and is still impressing me to this day. He quickly took on the unofficial internal role of providing us with information. Current hacks, new projects, Ethereum EIPs and so forth. You name it, he knew it. I mean it didn’t stop there. He knew how to apply the knowledge as well. Making recommendations on how to apply standards and pointing out faults already known in the scene made him a priceless asset in our development process. Meticulous and foresightful is the way he approached his work and that is needed in the space if anything. I will take one shot at him though: In some aspects his confidence doesn’t match up to his competence. I sometimes had the impression that he was doubting himself, even if he was in the right. There is a point where you have to put your foot down and you definitely have the knowledge to put on some big ass boots. At the end of the day what counts for me is that Rahul is a really nice guy. Bright, passionate and honest. It really was a pleasure working with him in general. He is funny and a chill guy and I wish him the best in the upcoming future.
