I am a Special Counsel with HopgoodGanim Lawyers specialising in the provision of tax advisory and services to large companies, privately-owned businesses, individuals, funds and not-for-profit clients.I have over 20 years’ experience advising and assisting a variety of clients with their increasingly complex taxation affairs. I have had experience with issues surrounding investing into Australia, double tax treaties, withholding taxes, transfer pricing, FBT, R&D, GST, PAYG matters, capital gains tax, TOFA, financing, leasing, privatisations, managed investment trusts, tax effect accounting, Tax Consolidation and the taxation of, and tax concessions available to, Not-For-Profits.I have been on Infrastructure Partnerships Australia's Taxation Taskforce and have advised Queensland Treasury and corporates on their participation in infrastructure projects.I was a member of the ACT Property Council of Australia's Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee. I also sat on the Tax Institute's Not-for-Profit Committee.Following further study, in June 2017, I was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW. I have previously been admitted as a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ) and as a Chartered Tax Adviser (Tax Institute).
