Say Magazine Email and Phone Number
Founded by Leslie Lounsbury in 2002, SAY Magazine was the very first lifestyle magazine in the world for Indigenous people. By launching SAY Magazine, Leslie fulfilled her life-long dream. SAY Magazine was the recipient of the Native American Journalists Association Media Awards (2012, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2004). As a proud Métis woman and single mother of six, she experienced first hand the need for education, economic, entertainment, sports and health information addressing Indigenous people, especially our youth. SAY Magazine's mission statement is HOPE and its mandate – Celebrating Our Successes. SAY Magazine's mission encompasses a bigger vision than only Indigenous youth. Since 2018, SAY Magazine has adopted an attitude of honouring Leslie's vision and legacy by including success stories from all age categories and covering topics of current importance such as environment, arts & music, business, and more, all from an Indigenous perspective.Over the past 18 years, we receive consistent feedback that the magazine and website are a resource for both Indigenous people and non-Indigenous people seeking to know more about contemporary Indigenous lifestyle and positive role models. Our magazines are keepsakes, they engender pride, they bring communities together. We are visible in post-secondary institutions, corrections facilities, public libraries and more! Each year we publish quarterly plus several special issues in between, currently to a maximum of 8 issues per year. We hope to increase that in the future as we grow and evolve.Subscriptions are available for single copies, multiple copies and classroom kits. We welcome bulk orders of single issues if we get it in advance of the publication date. Indigenous success stories, leads and submissions are welcome.
