Presently I work as a Product Development Manager in Mapline Ltd. My contributions involve product design, implementation and delivery, ensuring quality control in all deliverables, adoption of new technologies, developing robust and highly available product infrastructure and building a team of highly motivated engineers for this purpose.

Presently, I own the responsibilities of 2 development teams and 1 DevOps team.

Working as an architect of DevOps and Automation and manager of Production Engineering in the Enterprise Software Division in Lexmark, my 3 priorities are “Project, Process and People”.Project - The Production Engineering team consists of both developers and QA engineers. My team and I play a vital role in the design and development of our software to ensure their good quality – promoting development practices like Test Driven Development, Design Patterns etc, as well as implementing good testing strategy like Unit testing, Automated Regression etc. We have implemented a continuous integration pipeline to integrate these measures in the core of our software development process.All of these ensure that quality is built in the development lifecycle of the software, which is thethe cornerstone of Agile Software Development.Process - I am responsible for streamlining the software development, quality assurance and release process for a large section of our products. To aid that, a few of the initiatives I took was to create the first Automation Division in Kolkata.People - My responsibilities are growing the India Production Engineering team, which include Recruitment, Technical growth management, Performance Evaluation among a few.As a developer, I have around 10 years of experience in developing software across different platforms, be it Unix,Windows, Web, Mobile or Cloud.I believe, my biggest assets are Adaptability and Dedication to Quality.

Built team Cyclops – which was the first Automation team in Lexmark India, from scratch. Handled all of its responsibilities like recruitment, equipment, work roadmap creation, backlog grooming, initiation of Kanban process and its consequent adherence, mentoring new members, performance and throughput tuning, people management etc.Created test frameworks and continuous integration and delivery/deployment systems for the Mobile and Cloud teams across the organization, like Peppr (Cloud Deployment framework), Packman (Javascript package assembler).Developed different tools which are used by different teams for building and assembling their software. Gained expertise in languages like Java/Groovy, build systems like Gradle, CI systems (Jenkins), Cloud Infrastructure Services (AWS), Mobile platforms (iOS, Android).Converted a lot of legacy test cases for Lexmark Enterprise Content to automated tests using different test frameworks (in-house or external).Encouraged good coding practices like Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development across different teams.

Worked as a part of the Automation Architecture team based in Shawnee, Kansas, USA.Developed tools and frameworks to aid automation and continuous delivery for Lexmark Enterprise Content.Notable projects were developing a system testing framework for our .Net products, based on Microsoft’s CodedUI framework.Was a part of the team to make all the automation framework Unicode compliant.

Developed a client webpart for Lexmark Enterprise Content to be deployed in Microsoft Sharepoint.Was involved in re-architecting the webpart into a Rich Client Application using Silverlight.Developed different customer facing features and patches.Migrated from using a legacy SOAP based backend to a new REST service.Created automation tool for configuring multiple platforms with different flavors of Sharepoint.Created a automated regression suite for the Sharepoint app using CodedUI.

Was a part of the UI and Middleware development team for IxNetwork, a performance testing tool for layer2-layer3 protocol suites.Developed several features, enhancements and bug-fixes as required by the customers like Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T etc.Notable work were designing a thread pool model to manage ARP Rate Control on different hardware ports, and performance enhancement of the IxNetwork middleware and GUI, StatViewer enhancements etc.The work involved C# on the GUI side, C++ along with libraries like STL and Boost in the middleware side.

IxANVL (Automated Network Validation Library) is the industry standard for automated network protocol conformance testing.Worked as a team member of the 20 member IxANVL Development team.Was mainly involved in design and development of VPN protocol libraries like PWE3, BFD, LDP etc.

Worked in Cisco office, Bangalore as a part of Cisco ATM team.Was involved in mainly bug-fixes and enhancements for the ATM module on Cisco platforms.
