Sayanta after spending two decades in investment management both in Public and Private markets decided to work with start-ups and also become an entrepreneur.Based in Singapore from 2010, he has been working with a couple of entrepreneurs to take advantage of large opportunities (Co-Founder both at BooleInc. and Zibanka)BooleInc. is focused on Digital Transformation based in Malaysia. Zibanka is a Global Media outsourcing business based in Mumbai.His is a Founder of AgrudTech which uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to democratize wealth management for the mass affluent by bringing Wall Street information and analysis to the masses.He was a leading member at Dubai Holding for 10 years managing in excess of USD 8 Billion in Operating Assets including NASDAQ-OMX, Bank Islam, Bank Muscat, EFG and serving on most of their Boards. He was instrumental in buying, restructuring and sale of Thomas Cook India.He conceptualized and built a AED 1 Billion consumer finance business in the UAE – Dubai First in 18 months. He also managed USD 1.5 Billion in Alternative Assets (Hedge Funds, Real Estate and Private Equity). He has raised more than USD 3 Billion of debt through syndication and structured deals.Working as a part of the highest offices in the Dubai Government he was also involved in developing the growth strategy for Dubai including projects like Jumeirah Beach Residence. Prior to Dubai Holding, he was Chief Dealer at Citibank, Gulf managing more than a USD 2 billion balance sheet. He also teaches at Singapore Management University and IIT Kharagpur. He is also actively involved with the IIT and IIM Alumni Associations in Singapore.
