Dissertation: Studies on the Epstein-Barr virus, the viral EBNA2 gene, and its cellular targets in the context of TADs. - Achievement in pioneering an experimental design that will provide insight into the functional characterization of topologically associated domains (TADs) using Crispr-Cas9 and B-cells. It will also provide further insight into Epstein Barr virus latent gene EBNA2.- Proficient in molecular biology, including DNA and RNA isolation, gene manipulation using Crispr-Cas9, PCR, qRT-PCR, Gradient PCR, cDNA synthesis, Naive PAGE, Western Blot, cell culture, and isolation of PBMCs.- Familiar with analysis of NGS datasets and visualization using R (ggplot2) and Python (Seaborn) and knowledge of data reproducibility using git version control using R. - Fostered collaboration with the bioinformatics department for statistical data analysis using PCA plots, cluster analysis, and data normalization.- Skilled at standard statistical analysis using R, Python, and Graphpad Prism.- Proficient in presentation and data documentation.- Designed and implemented a systematic literature review of past studies, resulting in a comprehensive report on the subject.

Establishment of an ex-vivo culture method to monitor skin scar formation for chemical screening.Supervisor: Dr. Yuval Rinkevich, Prof. Dr. Elizabeth Weiss, Mentor: Dr. Dongsheng Jiang- In the master's thesis project, a screening of compounds approved by 320 FDA was performed within 12 weeks, contributing to the data resources of an in-house chemical database.- Based on the observed data, a list of chemicals that could potentially reduce scar formation was prepared. From this list, ten compounds showed promising potential. The thesis also delved into the histological effects of three of these compounds on scar formation.- Wet-lab work included immunohistology, 3D tissue culture, high-throughput screening assays, and high-resolution confocal microscopy.- Independently designed and developed new experimental strategies.

Project 1: Study of marine bacterial biofilm isolated from Andaman corals.Project 2: Microbial analysis in extreme habitats (taxonomic characterization of a novel bacterial species).- Received rigorous scientific training in molecular biology, focusing on transcriptomics, NGS technologies, bioinformatics, and data visualization.Skills used: molecular biology techniques, including Southern blot, Dot-blot, Biochemical assays, lipid profiling, confocal microscopy, microbial cell culture, and maintenance.- Conducted extensive research on a complex scientific topic and authored a paper on the findings published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Project: Immunomodulatory role of lectin isolated from Phaseolus vulgaris- The main objective was to isolate and study the lectin isolated from red kidney beans and to observe if it has any role in immunomodulation, either proliferative or suppressive, on human lymphocyte and human erythroleukemia cell line (HEL 92.1.7 cell line) in in-vitro conditions.- Key skills employed were mammalian cell culture, protein isolation and quantification, MTT assay.- Successfully published a paper in a peer-reviewed journal.
