Work as a field Corrosion engineer at KPC different fields with the following responsibilities: On stream – off stream corrosion monitoring- Planning for corrosion monitoring (on line monitoring) using different techniques ( Weight loss corrosion coupons ,Test Spools, ER probe, LPR probes, Ultrasonic thickness measurements,….etc)- Select locations for corrosion monitoring according to NACE standard.- Planning for corrosion inhibitor injection over different locations using batchtreatment technique & continuous technique. - Planning for scale inhibitor injection over locations that is suspected to formscales & make up monitoring via scale coupons and quantitative analysis techniques- Arrange with oil lab to perform periodic tests for SRP for all KPC vessels & plan to overcome any corrosion problems that may occur due to SRP by applying Biocides batch programs & monitoring using Bio probes- Complete analysis for all data concerning corrosion.- Prepare for field trial & corrosion inhibitor selection- Review designs for new facilities & allocate monitoring & injection pointsover required locations- Good knowledge of International Codes and Standards related to corrosion monitoring. - Good knowledge of monitoring techniques and procedure. Cathodic protection-Internally and Externally Cathodic Protection with Impressed Current and Sacrificial Anodes systems through the following activities: - Installation supervising and performance evaluation for the CP. Running the related Cathodic protection surveys including soil resistivity, potential survey, CIPS Survey, Instant-off survey, current requirement survey, insulation efficiency tests, holiday detection for wrapping and coating of lines -Included also is the supervision of C.P. systems maintenance-Reduce the interference occurrence problems-Follow up and Supervision Installing of new Cathodic protection systems-Review designs for new CP systems

The basic role is to collect data about all wells & facilities. Monitor corrosion rate & put planes & strategies to control corrosion damage.
