During my six-week Internship as an Engineering Intern at the Scientific and Engineering Services Directorate, I had the privilege of undergoing a structured internship program divided into 3 distinct rotations. Each rotation spanned across various departments, including the Design Engineering department, Pakistan Welding Institute, and the National Center for Non-Destructive Testing.Worked at the Design Engineering Department to learn basic and fundamental design, working and maintenance principles of Heat Exchangers, pressure vessels and other mechanical equipment.Pakistan Welding Institute- Learned and gained hands-on experience welding various conventional equipment, using GMAW, SMAW, FCAW & LBW, and performing different health and safety procedures/SOPs.National Center for Non-Destructive Testing- Worked in failure analysis, penetrant testing, eddy current testing, ultrasonic testing, video testing, thermal & IR testing, structural integrity, concrete testing, radiography, SEM, mechanical testing and magnetic testing labs to gain hands on experience in evaluation and characterization techniques.
