After receiving my B.S. in economics, I started my career in the banking industry working as a credit analyst. Being in this role familiarized and taught me the basics about the different types of financial statements used for a business, and learned more about the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows aside from the lessons from my financial accounting class in college. Although this role was composed of data entry, it required knowledge of how to read a financial statement, and look through details of a CPA audited statement in order to break down the details of the balance sheet assets and liabilities.After roughly 3.5 years in the banking industry, I took an interest in the tech industry with IBM. I started in sales support through creating proposals and converting into contracts for federal customers including the FBI and military and resolving customer disputes. I later received an opportunity with Lenovo in pricing commercial laptops. The product lines I was responsible for include the ThinkPad, ThinkSmart, ThinkVision, and ThinkReality series. Once products were priced and approved, I created business partner letters of each series that was to be announced to our small to medium business customers.
