High School Outreach Co-Chair
The University Of Georgia
- Served on the UGA Miracle Executive Board, the largest student run organization on campus, as the High School Outreach Co-Chair. - Main liaison between UGA Miracle and our 10 high school programs in the Athens and Atlanta areas. - Personally worked with each of these schools throughout the year to assist with fundraising efforts, club and student engagement, tracking school finances, and planning, executing, and running their end of the year Dance Marathon Events. - Attended weekly Executive Meetings and committee meetings, Oversaw 18 Assistant Chairs responsible for fundraising, engagement, and specific high school programs, and met weekly with our Hospital Advisor from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. - Planned and led two high school retreats held at the Support Center at Children’s. All of our high school programs attended with their executive boards to set a plan for the year, learn tips and tricks, understand how to track and handle fundraising sheets, and for us to share expectations with them for the year. - Required me to be very outgoing, sociable, and energetic to engage high school students, lead dance marathon events, run high school retreats, and keep the energy high during our 26.2 hour Dance Marathon Event at UGA. - Required lots of time, flexibility, problem-solving, planning, and organization to oversee and work with both students from UGA and our local high schools This year we raised $1,075,281, with our high schools setting a UGA record for our high school programs by raising over $100,000, leading UGA Miracle to have raised over $4,702,314 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta during my four years within this organization.
