• Optimized photolithography process for thick film resists (ca. 70 um) to achieve high aspect ratio structures.

• Optimized inductively coupled plasma reactive ion etching (ICP-RIE) recipe for fabricating 2D photonic crystals in indium phosphide (InP). The work involved defining etch mask patterns using E-beam lithography.
• Developed two new adhesive bonding techniques for heterogeneous integration of optically active III-V semiconductor devices with silicon waveguide circuits.
