Key part of a team within the operations directorate to modernize the C3 infrastructure of the air operations centers worldwide to prepare the Air Force to pivot from “counterterrorism” to “major combat” with a peer or near peer threat.

I am a key part of coordination of the air component for five US Army Warfighter exercises every year at various locations, as part of the Combined Arms Center curriculum requirements.Coordinated the Air Operations Center products for the target Army training audience at Division or Corps level to enable the unit to seamlessly integrate airpower application into their scheme of manuever.Worked with Army's Mission Command Training program to ensure a realistic supporting air campaign was a key part of the exercise planning efforts.Ensured the AOC products, such as JAOP, AOD, SPINS, and ROE were aligned with the overall Army exercise OPORD.During execution, monitored performance and adjusted parameters based on training audience requirements.As of 2/2022, participated in 16 Warfighters and acted as the air component lead planner for five.

Springfield, Illinois Area

 Direct planning efforts of five officers to write OPLANs, COPLANs, and OPORDs in support of both national wartime contingency and state of Illinois domestic disaster operations. Deployed for six months beginning in July 2016 to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, to support CENTCOM contingency operations in the Air Operations Center. Directly worked offensive operations ISO Operation Inherent Resolve (Iraq-Syria) and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (Afghanistan) as part of the Joint Personnel Recovery (JPRC) cell. Previous position was Strategy Division Chief, from 2012 to 2015. Built and staffed the strategy division in the Air Operations Squadron from the ground up, established the Plans, Guidance, and Operations Assessment cells, supported several major unit exercises including ILLINI THUNDER. Served as head of Plans and Programs (J-5) for the Joint Task Force established to execute the PRARIE QUAKE 2 domestic earthquake response exercise in 2015. Directly supported and augmented exercise planning for the 612th Air Operations Center at Davis-Monthan AFB AZ. Supported PANAMAX and INTEGRATED ADVANCE exercises tutoring foreign officers in AOC procedures from partner-nation air forces.  Well-respected mentor and leader, relied upon extensively by junior members new to the AOC for training and education.

618Th Air And Space Operations Center (Tacc)

 Promoted twice with increasing levels of responsibility, was #2 person in command on operations floor overseeing efficient execution of military airlift missions worldwide. Position involved prioritizing airlift based on JCS hierarchies and re-arranging missions to get the most critical cargo to the right place at the right time, as well as keeping senior leadership informed if delivery dates are not being met due to various internal and external factors. Extensive work with the planning directorates to ensure special mission support, such as Presidential airlift, is accomplished with the most efficient use of airlift assets possible. Previous positions held include Duty Officer (2006-2008) and Deputy Director of Operations (2008-2014). Extensive experience with the GDSS 2 software package, JOPES planning tool, and the UDOP mission display.

 Served as a planner in both the Plans and Guidance cells of the Strategy division Key participant in exercise Terminal Fury (Hickam AFB HI); served as an Air Tasking Order Coordinator 2005-2007.  Responsible for writing both the long-term planning documents (JOPP-A) and the short-term plans known as Air Operations Directives, or AOD’s. Incorporate leadership guidance changes into the AOD each planning cycle to ensure the correct targets are prioritized.  Responsible for the construction of branch and sequel plans to the overall AOD to ensure answers to the branch (what if?) and sequel (what then?) issues that arose in the planning process. Extensive experience with the TBMCS mission software package, MAAP Toolkit, JADOCS, and web apps such as E-STAT and F-STAT.
