I worked as a team leader for two teams of Unix/Linux system administrators, one with five system administrators and one with seven. The work entailed resource planning, dealing with reasource requests from other parts of the organizations (e g projects), operational supervision, group development, creation of routines and processes to facilitate our work both within the teams and in collaboration with oter parts of the organization, system maintenance planning and execution, and managing smaller projects. It was also my job to represent the teams in the organization in various contexts. Hardware, operating system, workload manager, scripts, user and group management, high speed network, storage solutions, and user applications all need to work together seamlessly. Of these I worked daily with the hardware, the operating system, and the workload manager. I was also responsible for the scripting, applications, and the users' shell environment. Occasionally I worked with the storage and user and group management. From time to time I was solely responsible for the daily operation of the clusters. From 2011 I worked part-time as team leader for the Linux administrators, a group of eight people.
