I coordinate the mapping of energy and mineral resources across the states in the Northwestern Nigeria - Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kaduna. We visit the sites, collect the geopoints as well as other Geophysical properties related to quality and quantity of the mineralization.

I lead community leaders from my local community (Jibia local government) in the implementation of actions under the project "conflict mitigation and community reconciliation in North Western Nigeria". The project is run through a consortium involving center for democracy and development, international organization for migration and Mercy Corps

My roles and responsibilitiesinclude:● Developing project proposals and implementation plans for the Alliance's activities.● Coordinating the implementation of the Alliance's programmes, projects and initiatives.● Identifying and building partnerships with government, private sector, and civil society organizations to support the implementation of the Alliance's projects and initiatives.● Providing technical support and guidance to Alliance members and partners on project design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.● Ensuring that the Alliance's projects and initiatives are aligned with the SDGs and are effectively implemented in their respective state.● Develop or review budgets and operations. Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements on each project. ● Work with all project teams to follow up on their activities to provide feedback and resolve complex problems.● Coordinating with the State Coordinators and other members of the Alliance's leadership team to ensure alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives

This position involves stakeholders mapping, consultation and engagement with various MDAs related to Water supply, sanitation and hygiene in Katsina State. I plan the engagement by arranging focus group discussions, interviews and critical documents analysis to elicit information that will enable our team to come up with a Policy, Institution and Regulatory (PIR) plan and Performance improvement action plan (PIAP) for the state Ministry of water resources inline with SUR WASH program and world bank project operation manual.
