Held multifaceted responsibilities to the Augusta University Cyber Institute to configure, install, administer, and secure the network infrastructure and information systems. Provided system and network administration to ensure high level of reliability and stability to the Cyber Institute infrastructure. Implemented a continuous monitoring solution that verified the integrity, availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, key processes, and reviewed application logs. Designed and created a disaster recovery plan for all network devices on the infrastructure to provide a solid recovery of possible any failed information systems and network devices. Developed security policies with the foundation of NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and SANS 20 critical security controls (CSC). Implemented, configured, and deployed Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM), Cisco SourceFire (SFR), Cisco FirePOWER Management Center, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), that prevented sophisticated cyber attacks against the Cyber Institute from multiple countries.

Performed duties to create the Army’s Cyber Common Technical Core (CCTC) that provided instructional and training material related to offensive and defensive Cyberspace operations for cyber operators in the U.S. Army. Created instructional course material across four platforms Windows, Linux, security concepts, and networking that teaches threat emulation, mission protection, discovery, counter-infiltration methodologies, computer network exploitation and cyberspace defense for cyber teams. Developed courses teaching several security tools to include NMAP, Kali Linux, Security Onion, Metasploit, Wireshark, TCP Dump, Snort and Nessus.

Selected as a Cyber Network Defender for the Army’s First Cyber Mission Unit and assigned to perform the duties of computer network defense and cyber warfare. Duties entailed testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering computer network defense infrastructure hardware and software required to provide defense-in-depth to networks. Hunted for and illuminated adversary activity in DoD cyber terrain using network scanning tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus, BackTrack, and Sysinternals). Consistently implemented Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for DoD Information Systems to eliminate vulnerable systems/software. Research and wrote solutions to system vulnerabilities while providing a detailed breakdown of how attacker accessed Information System.
