Her research interests are evidence-based practice implementation in general education, universal Tier I models, sustainable MTSS practices, and academic and behavioral interventions for middle and high school students with co-occurring disabilities.She received her master’s from Vanderbilt University as well as her BCBA training. Prior to starting the doctoral program, Blair taught high school special education for five years, where she was able to help to create a special education program from the ground up. As a teacher and coordinator, she founded her school’s inaugural MTSS team, created systems for maintaining the compliance of over 100 IEPS, and increased the graduation rate for students with disabilities while reducing retention rates. Outside of her passion for education, she is interested in play research and play policy, which she studied for a year through the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship.
