— Launched 3rd generation of Yandex.Images & Yandex.Video with shared code repository called “Sakhalin”— Rewritten build stack from Makefile/Shells scripts to JavaScript using ENB, commander.js, shell.js— Merged five separated project repositories into one called “Fiji” to simplify development & review process, bug finding (git bisect) and so on— Full stack of frontend testing: server-side unit tests, client-side unit tests, E2E tests with webdriver.io, gemini tests— Automated Pull Requets’s review with github’s webhooks & autoassignies based on different strategies. Later this project has moved into open source — https://github.com/devexp-org/devexp— Simplified TeamCity’s build & deploy configurations— Created the stack of testing environment to maintain stability of external data ( search results, images ) including:— standalone express.js application to produce HTML from our server side code with ability to cache data in files, memory and redis— standalone express.js, mongodb proxy for images with different strategies from caching proxy to SVG mocks— The tool from previous step is widely used in local development process, also can work in no-internet environment— Automated code linting: JSCS, JSHINT, csslint and other tools on pre-commit hooks— Added regular tech meetings inside department— Created BEMPRIV project to get rid off plain JS functions we used to write BEM blocks in server side. It greatly improved readability and stability of our server code base— HTTPS in both services— Speed optimization: presearch, SVG sprites, etc.— Has switched from FreeBSD dev’s server to OpenStack— A lot of product features: touch gestures, images viewer, configurable top of video,— Supported Human Review process in our department— … etc ;)
