Team lead for BSA's, Engineering and QA consisting of 24 individuals across 3 continents. My primary responsibilities are all centered around the continued improvement of the technology stack, ensuring the engineering team is maturing effectively to deliver Prologis' first web-based customer experience. This has included building and standardising the engineering, quality assurance, and task management systems for the SDLC to allow for teams collaborating across the world to have better visibility into roadmaps, dependencies, and ownership. From a technology perspective, the primary driver of this role has been delivering CI/CD with blue/green environment delivery. As an AWS microservice architectured application, the priorities of the technology stack are driven around ensuring the solutions are serverless, scalable, accessible and secure.

After receiving promotion to a leadership position, I became the direct report of a 6-person engineering team dedicated to building two centralised platforms, the purpose of which is to standardise the presale opportunity process and unifying the D&B sales story and verbiage companywide. During my tenure, my responsibilities included interfacing with stakeholders from different areas of the organization, building training, and support documentation, reforming the interview process with input from the engineering team in an effort to extract better metrics for how interviewees would perform within our team culture. From a technology perspective, our team operated within the AWS ecosystem. Availability and latency were the key concerns for our applications, being in the solutions engineering space, each application developed were developed specifically for the use case presented, some being microservice applications, others using frameworks such as Laravel and Django. Some of the technologies used for included beanstalk, lambda, api gateway, cloudwatch, rds, ec2, dynamo, glue, auraro, jenkins. One of the highlights during my time at D&B was being chosen as the lead engineer in collaboration with Microsoft to deliver a Microsoft hosted D&B product to market utilising CDS, Dynamics and Flow.

The mandate given when joining D&B was to build a Solutions Engineering department that could provide outstanding service for custom application development and enable customers to consume D&B products easily. The approach was two fold, I architected and implemented customer and internally facing web applications AWS infrastructure using route53, cloudfront, dynamodb, API Gateweay, ec2, s3, ElasticBeanstalk & Aurora depending on the solution requirements.Whilst performing customer solutioning, I was also responsible for building & maintaining a developer workbench and engineering standards for the SDLC & CI/CD. Onboarding 5 engineers, 2 QA, and a project manager. To ensure the success of the team, I pushed initiatives for source control, unit testing, documentation and task management while performing lunch & learns to help create a team dynamic & educate on current architecture and coding disciplines.

Responsible for the design, development & deployment of a SOX compliant file transport service and web application portal providing business users the ability to send and receive financial information securely between internal applications and the cloud-hosted compensation management system.During my tenure, I interfaced with the business stakeholders & vendors redefined the SDLC process to deliver user stories in an agile methodology, migrating from the traditional waterfall method. The technology used for implementing the applications consisted of Codeigniter as a framework, Oracle as the datastore and Bitbucket for the application repository. Whole Foods standardised using on-prem virtual containers, interfacing with the operations team to engineer a container with the required packages and ports that ensured the application could function whilst being security compliant.

Engineering Lead and Product Manager for an industry-standard, PHP inventory management application in collaboration with HMBANA milk banks, also an engineering lead for a NICU feed management and verification application.My primary responsibilities whilst working with Timeless involved interfacing with clients pre and post-sales to understand customer business requirements and converting them to technical design documents for engineering. From a technical perspective, the application was duplicated for every individual client and customised for their needs. The code was migrated to Git source control from SVN and redesigned to support a configuration-based approach in which all customers could work on a singular code base whilst maintaining their unique workflows and customisations. I also had the opportunity to build a HL7 parser for consuming patient records, working with enterprise printer systems converting the language from EPL to ZPL and ensuring the platform security compliance by integrating with various Active Directory systems for authentication and permissioning.
