Projects and Responsibilities: ● Cloud architecture design – responsible for the design and implementation of a high available cloud solution that will support current and future local government projects.● Worked with many AWS services, including EC2, Cloudfront, Load Balancer, DynamoDB, and S3 Buckets.● Deployed Kubernetes in Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and on-premise.● Configured Flannel as the backend network for the on-premise Kubernetes cluster.● Development/Production environment design – designed a DevOps environment that supported fast application deployment and microservices. Kubernetes was used to orchestrate the deployment, scaling, and management of Docker containers.● Configured transfer service between Amazon S3 bucket and Google cloud bucket• Deployed AWS EC2 instances for numerous applications, including the NGINX, Apache, and Microsoft IIS Web servers, Kubernetes Cluster Nodes (using KOPS as deployment script) Docker Swarm Nodes, Jumpbox / Bastian Server for remote access into an AWS VPC, and Custom Linux AMIs • Used AWS Cloud Formation, Vagrant, and Terraform to provision and save infrastructure as code (IaC) in a JSON format. • Created Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) whenever logical separation of projects was needed, not allowing any network connectivity between the two projects.• Deployed and configured security groups to protect EC2 instances, instance groups, and application tiers; only allowing network traffic necessary to run the target application.● Deployed and configured Elastic Load Balancers and target groups to autoscale with increased application load.

Responsible for the uptime and support of two data centers, WAN (SONET), and LAN. Work closely with the server engineering team to provide high availability of mission critical applications and servers. Projects and Resposibilities:● Cisco UCS design and implementation – installed and configured Cisco UCS chassis, fabric interconnects, and blade servers for the main datacenter and business recovery site.● Cisco ASA5585-X install/migration – installed and configured a pair of Cisco ASA5585-X firewalls with Sourcefire SFR modules in an Active/Passive configuration. Seamlessly migrated the configuration from a pair ASA5545-X● Nexus 5548 upgrade – successfully implemented an In-Service Software Upgrade (ISSU) on (4) Nexus 5548 switches. This upgrade resolved a memory leak issues which caused the 5548 switches to reboot.● Pure Storage/ SAN – designed and configured SAN connectivity between VMWare ESXI environment and Pure Storage FA-420 flash storage array using Cisco MDS 9513/9222 SAN switches. ● AT&T DDoS Cloud solution – working with AT&T to design and implement a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection plan to help mitigate DDoS attacks.● Created an Amazon AWS VPC and deployed EC2 instances to evaluate micro-segmentation using AWS security groups● Deployed and configures Amazons Route 53 and ELB to test traffic failover between two geographically dispersed Data Centers.

Served as a consultant to a wireless service provider, providing wireless, WAN, and LAN support for +1400 internal customers and 70 remote locations. Responsible for advanced enterprise wireless LAN administration and design, mesh networks, and point-to-point and point-to-multipoint topologies.Projects and Responsibilities:● Cisco Nexus 7009 installation / Catalyst 6509 decommission – Successfully migrated all core routes from Catalyst 6509 to the Nexus 7009 with no downtime. This core network spanned across two remotely disperse data centers. ● Cisco 7206 replacement / ASR 1002 install – Replaced Cisco 7206 with ASR1002. These 7206 routers were the connection between Cspire’s corporate office and the 65 store locations. The install/replacement included migrating from 20+ T1 connections to a channelized DS3.● Nexus 7009, 5548 upgrade – Successfully upgraded the NX-OS on four Nexus 7009, two Nexus 7004, and four Nexus 5548 distributed across three data centers.● Cisco WLC 5548 install / WLC 4400 Series replacement – Successfully upgraded (2) Cisco 4400 Series Wireless LAN controller to (2) Cisco 5548 Wireless LAN controllers. ● Cisco Aironet 1300/1400 access point replacement – Successfully managed a project to replace 300+ access points across 65 remote locations with Cisco 3602 access points.● Juniper EX4200 upgrade – upgraded JUNOS and configured switches to work with Cisco access points and Wireless LAN controller● Created an Amazon VPC and deployed Amazon EC2 instances to evaluate latency and jitter between geographically disperse data centers● Deployed an Amazon AWS Custom gateway to test BGP connection between on-premise data center and AWS US-East-1 availability zone.● Used Amazon AWS VPN to tests site-to-site VPN service between on-premise data center and Amazon AWS US-East-1 availability zone.● Used Amazon S3 buckets to store files.
