Update: I recently co-founded Neuretix, Inc., to provide an innovative solution for peripheral nerve injury. Please reach out to learn more!I direct a cross-disciplinary, translational biomedical research program that investigates neuromuscular injury, disease and repair. Building on over 20 years of experience in bioengineering and cell biology, my research program has been continuously funded by multiple federal agencies for over 15 years, to address scientific and medical challenges in cell, animal, and human models of injury and disease.In addition to participating in numerous productive academic partnerships, I have developed successful relationships with partners in industry. I have engaged in roles including scientific advisory services, biomedical device design and testing, lab-based pre-clinical testing, and small business grant-writing. I seek to continue engagement with the vibrant biomedical device and biotechnology community in Southern California.
