About Sachin Shetty
When I was growing up in India, my father ran a successful agricultural supply business. Beginning early in my teenage years, he tasked me with management and problem solving, giving me the space to find my own methods to achieve our goals. Over time, I learned that the best pathway to success isn’t always following the paths that others have taken, but rather adapting to each unique situation to find the solution of best fit. My formal education includes training in both law and science, which has helped me understand how to best navigate an ever-changing frontier in technology development. Working in tech in the US for as long as I have, one of my favorite ways to interact with my superiors within a corporate structure is to ask for the hardest problem and offer to solve it. Rarely do I know how to solve it when I accept the challenge, but I know I’m able to work with others and think creatively to find success. I love solving for scale and working with talent that’s collaborative, innovative, and curious. Together, we’ll build architecturally elegant software systems, use technology to drive revenue growth and success, and develop new tools and solutions that are scalable and operationally viable.

The app accepts card-not-present and card-present payments: swipe (magnetic stripe), dip (chip), tap (NFC), Apple Pay, Android Pay, and Samsung Pay via an audio jack based and/or a Bluetooth-based card reader.I built the team, the device, and the software from the ground up, and successfully delivered the fully EMV-certified product from ideation to commercial launch within 9 months. -

I eventually went on to lead their web application development team of 20 within 6 months. My team and I built the first live web-based stock ticker in Java, providing real-time stock quotes on the NSE website.

Our company, which had employed about 40 people, manufactured agricultural chemicals for government and commercial use. I was granted early responsibilities, which increased with each success. These included managing people across multiple business locations in Bombay and Delhi, supervising and assisting in the production line on the factory floor, handling government quality and process inspections, following up on account receivables, negotiating agreements and pricing with vendors and contractors, managing customer scheduling/support and payroll management/accounting. During the latter part of my apprenticeship, I built out a customer information and appointment management system in Foxpro and C. This modernization helped cut down on missed appointments and scheduling conflicts by about 50%, since this was previously handled manually.
