A little over a decade ago, the company began in my father’s 2-car garage, and there was minimal thought this company would grow outside of our local neighborhood. His primary goal was to only provide additional income for our family outside of his full-time job.My dad started the business in 2003 and I began helping him instantly, at 12 years old. This helped to learn about work ethic and the importance of going the extra mile.Despite the labor-intensive challenges and long hours, I stuck with it throughout high school and college. My junior year of college, my father began taking on more roles at his full-time job and gave me the opportunity to grow the company to what it is today. A lawn care company that was meant for the weekends turned into full time, all seasons, lawn, and landscape company. I introduced hardscaping and snow removal while working on my undergraduate at UW-Milwaukee. We now have 10 employees, including my two younger brothers. We are truly a family-oriented company and treat every team member and customer like family, which is key to providing a wonderful experience. This has helped us to grow beyond our neighborhood and help more people in the community.By implementing a family-like culture, our employees show a sense of ownership and take pride in what they do. This separates us from a lot of other firms in the industry.
