This technical support role reports to the Director, Gateway Operations and is responsible for on-site facility management activities for Globalstar Canada’s Gateways. This position requires a person that has a strong understanding and hands-on experience in an operational environment supporting electrical and mechanical facility sub-systems. This individual must be capable of supporting technical responsibilities in the complex operations environment of a satellite telecommunications gateway facility as well as providing strong project management and vendor control. They must be familiar with monitoring and managing system acceptance test plans. The individual must be capable of operating with minimal supervision and be part of a cross-functional team capable of understanding Gateway operations end-to-end. Travel within North America, requiring overnight stays (including week long junkets), training trips to the United States for extended periods and on-call duties will be a requirement of this position.
