IFRS 9 program coordination on a portfolio of 8 (out of 80) Société Générale IBFS subsisdiaries in Marocco, Tunisia, Macedonia, Moldova and MontenegroIn charge of the following tasks:- Following the progress of the local IFRS9 projects- Reporting directly to the IBFS IFRS 9 program manager- Insuring good communication between the subsidiaries and all the IBFS IFRS9 sub-projects (Risk methodologies, Provision Calculator, Finance & Accounting, Data Flows, Data Quality, Process management, Change management, Impacts on other applications)- Providing a close support to the local IFRS9 project managers: * Regular project status calls * Detailing major milestones and expectations from SG group * First level support regarding all the IFRS9 sub-projects (listed above) * Point of escalation in case of unresolved issue for which a subsidiary is waiting for a critical feedback from SG group+ Some business trips on site+ Backup coordination for other IBFS entities in Russia, Albania, Serbia, New Caledonia, The west Indies, Senegal, Cameroon, Benin, Tchad, French Polynesia, Germany, Bulgaria and SloveniaContext:IFRS 9 will be effective in January 2018. It is a regulation replacing IAS 39, which was criticised as too complex. However it does not mean that IFRS 9 is simple. The impact of the IFRS 9 regulation is large and some call it a silent revolution in the banking industry. Banks will have to rethink the whole credit business strategy. (Portofolio strategy, Commercial policies, Risk management, People management). Indeed, with IFRS 9, the capital counsumption for provisionning will be higher however it will be more consistent with the actual risk taken. Maybe there will a shift to more resilient sectors therefore reducing the risk taken along with necessary provisions. Maybe there will be an increase of requested collateral guarantees. Actually, defining the best strategy will be the key challenge for the coming years and it might change the credit landscape.
