I am excited to be scratching the surface of the industry that is welding and metal work. With so many options for careers I look forward to finding my path with all its potential twists and turns! I have a thorough knowledge and experience when it comes to cutting and shaping metals through my time at Durham College and from my hobbies and personal projects. I am proficient at welding in all positions with both GMAW and SMAW processes and am excited to learn more Welding processes in my final year at Durham College. I have a working knowledge of cutting with oxy-fuel processes, Plasma cutting and with carbon arc gouging. I believe that it is important to practice safe working methods and keep a clean and organized work station. I learned the importance of this through my time at Lone Star as a line cook and at Durham College. Keeping your work space clean and organized helps with productivity as you don't always have to go looking for this or that but also keeps you safer than if you have items all around your workstation which can easily cause injuries. Finally especially with shared work stations its never nice to start your day with a mess to clean up even less so when some one left their mess for you to clean up. This is why I always take the time to make sure if have cleaned my station and leave it as good or better than I found it.In my free time I like to enjoy some of my hobbies that keep my hands busy like blacksmithing and woodworking or working on cars and when ever possible I like to enjoy my hobbies outdoors. I have always enjoyed spending time in nature and have been an avid outdoors man as long as I can remember! I love camping and hiking and also enjoy canoe trips and backpacking.
