Programme management responsibilities and provided technical over-sight for ongoing projects.Scout for new technologies for in-licensing to broaden the capabilities and service offering of the division. Including assessment/ due diligence activities for licensing in of new technologies or company acquisitions.Out licensing of internally developed drug product assets.

Lead a team of scientists (graduates and PhD's) in the early stage development of inhalation and nasal drug delivery products (pre-clinical - Phase I). The team also had responsibilities for developing new technology to enable drug delivery (Particle engineering, formulation and device technologies). Technical oversight role , people manangement and project management and leadership were the principle areas of responsibilityIn addition to my technical, project mamangement and people leadership roles, I also supported Business Development activities with the Commercial Team, primarily through the development/evaluation of key customer target lists, preparation of sales/marketing materials, attending customer meetings, developing work plan proposals and competitive intelligence.

Managed a team of formulation scientists to develop a combination HFA pMDI product from early stage development (post feasibility studies) through to regulatory filing. The group had responsibilities for formulation development activities, stability management, protocol writing, data analysis and reporting.

Senior role in formulation team on a major inhalation product. Lead activities on the process development and scale up including technology transfer to commercial operations.In addition I worked on new formulation technologies and investigation techniques to assess/analyse inhalation dosage forms. Including novel particle engineering technologies, particle characterisation techniques, and surface characterisation techniques.
