After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in English, Mitch turned his passion for experiential learning towards educational leadership roles. In 2015, Mitch was working with scholarship students from Thailand at Brewster Academy as they set out to start their higher education in the United States when he met SCE's former Co-Directors, Jesse and Peter Friedman. This fortuitous meeting was the start of Mitch's journey to becoming the Director of Student Cultural Exchange. In five years of working with Student Cultural Exchange, Mitch has done it all. He started as a Guide for international students on school break programs and as a Reader in the Thai Scholars Christmas Program, assisting them in their college essay and application process. After displaying his proficiency and love for these roles, Mitch became SCE's go-to Lead Guide and the Assistant Director of the Christmas Program before working year round with SCE as their Programs Coordinator. While working with SCE, he was able to simultaneously complete his Master in Fine Arts coursework at UNH. Mitch is driven by his passion for story, nature, and fostering community. Travel inspires Mitch to better appreciate the world's beauty, and his work with SCE has inspired him to share his zest for life with everyone who joins him in the adventure. Travelers who entrust him as their guide in unknown territories know him for his enthusiasm, care, and welcoming presence.
