Provided leadership and project management and control for a partnership project between Sauti Kuu Foundation, the Chamber of Skilled Crafts of Hannover (Germany) and Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) - Campus Bielefeld (Germany) which saw the establishment and accreditation of a vocational training institution at Sauti Kuu Foundation in Siaya County.Directed resources management for the project including leading in the recruitment of 15 instructors, conducting needs assessments, and proposing and coordinating capacity-building initiatives including certification training offered by the Delegation of Germany Industry and Commerce of East Africa.Oversaw development of Organizational Process Assets, which saw process improvement for the project including; policies, standard guidelines, evaluation criteria, change control templates, project files, risk templates, and organizational processes among others. Managed procurement procedures for all equipment, tools, and consumables for the project, ensuring standardized procurement management procedures, quality control, fulfillment of needs according to assessments, and compliance with procurement regulations and donor requirements.Oversaw stakeholder management including community members; government agencies such as TVETA, TVET CDACC, and County Government; private entities including companies and other key parties affected or interested in the project.Managed the project budget for the local partner ensuring the development and submission of forecasts, timely funds requests, expenditure tracking, and control, accounting and reporting, and earned value analysis against planned and approved deliverables within any particular project timelines.

Developed and managed work plans and budgets for the Counties under my responsibility, monitored implementation progress, and reported on the programmatic and financial status of implementation.Contributed towards mobilization, awareness creation and enrolment of 3000 learners with disabilities in 50 regular primary schools across 4 Counties of Nyanza Region of Kenya.Coordinated capacity-building activities including training of at least 400 teachers, training of County Education Managers, training of at least 1800 parents, and establishment of 50 support groups for parents of children with disabilities in the community. Participated in proposal development resulting in the approval and funding of the second phase of the project named Girls Education Challenge Transition, with the aim of sustaining the gains so far made, ensuring the transition of learners to the next levels of learning and policy influence for sustainable strategies towards inclusive education both at local and national level.Provided team leadership for assigned Education Resource Workers ensuring coordinated planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of field-level activities which contributed to the overall success of the project.Spearheaded establishment of County Disability Technical Working Groups in Kisumu and Siaya Counties which brought together partners both from Government and Civil Society Organizations to lobby and advocate for legislation and implementation of gender and disability mainstreaming into County Government operations. This contributed to the enactment of the Kisumu Disability Act and the establishment of a Disability Steering Committee. Participated in various policy advocacy and review processes including the 2018 review of the Sector Policy on Learners and Trainees with Special Needs that advocated for more efforts by the National and County Governments toward promoting and supporting Inclusive Education practices in Kenya.

Oversaw successful implementation of the APHIA Plus Western Project as a downstream implementing partner, providing comprehensive services for a total of 2000 orphans and vulnerable children both at school and community levels, including educational support, complementing basic health services; nutrition; shelter; water, and sanitation; child protection; and household capacity-building activities.Provided team leadership to 40 Community Health Volunteers, including supporting the development of individual and joint monthly plans, coordinating monthly meetings, planning and undertaking regular home and school spot-check visits, undertaking internal data quality assessments (DQAs), and participating in external DQAs.Prepared monthly progress reports and quarterly presentations for the Executive Director highlighting key successes, challenges, and recommendations according to the implementation and monitoring plans.Managed the beneficiary database including updating the services provided records, tracking beneficiary progress and milestones, and reporting arising issues. Supported documentation processes including photography, videography, and editing as a member of the Editorial Board for the organization's newsletter where I worked on the design and proofreading. Maintained the organization's website and social media platforms, ensuring they were all up to date while ensuring any collaborations with the outside community were timely.Participated in school and community outreaches which saw to the great impact created by the organization to create awareness on children and human rights issues in the community resulting in the Director being named a runner-up in the 2008 UN Person of the Year Awards.

Educated the community on their voter rights, and what the constitution entails especially on leadership and integrity, devolution of government, public finance, and bill of rights among other issues in the newly dispensed Kenyan Constitution.

Supported office administrative work including working at the reception, delivering and receiving letters, supporting in documentation work during field outreaches and events, conversion of training notes into training modules, maintenance of the office computers including cleaning/software installations and updates/hardware replacements and upgrading, conducting school visits to establish and follow-up on children rights clubs, supporting in data collection during surveys and chaperoning for children during children workshops and events.
