I am an Experienced Professional in Project Control, Financial Management, Cost Engineering and Management Accounting.I have around 25 years’ experience in various roles covering most areas of Finance, Project Controls and Management Accounting. Most of these were in Mining and Manufacturing (including Petro-Chem) and more than 10 years were at Financial Manager or Controller level where I managed teams of people. I have experience in gold, copper, iron-ore, platinum, nickel and diamond mines – both in developing and steady state mining operations.My experience has been mostly in Cost Engineering, Management Accounting, Cost Control and Financial Management with Inventory Management, Contract Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying and ERP implementation along the way.I have worked in various countries in Africa and Saudi Arabia in difficult environments with people from various cultures. I have good Financial and General Management qualifications as well as some in Engineering.Because of my technical background I have a very good understanding of the requirements of Mining, Process, Manufacturing and Construction operations.
